Training

We got another new guy at work on Friday. I completely forget he was coming in. On my way to work I was just driving and thinking about everything I had to do that day and was determined to get all of my work caught up, and even get ahead, so that I would be free to take some short days this week and keep on top of my finals. I pull into the parking lot and there is this stranger walking up to the door, suitcase in hand. The word "fuck" just fell right out of my mouth as I realized my day would now be spent babysitting the newbie instead of getting my work done.

Nice kid, good with the parents, didn't exactly pick it up quick, but I explained it rather quickly. Hopefully Monday we'll get a chance to get it all covered.

Things to cover:
.) Enrolling in class
.) Dropping a class
.) Transferring a class
.) Importance of category 1
.) Posting a fee
.) Prorating
.) Crediting
.) Statements
.) Tax records
.) Camp
.) Adding a class
.) Injury reports
.) Copies
.) Trifolds
.) Flyers
.) Attendance
.) Adding a class
.) Partners
.) Aged Accounts
.) Misc Tab
.) Birthday parties
.) Birthday Party Permission Slips
.) Open Gym
.) Refunds
.)Opening
.) Closing
.) Filing

When I have the time I should write down a training manual, but I fear that doing so would take away my job security. If I were to leave and they needed to train someone new, they would be screwed. If I write it all down then they would be fine. Too bad I would most likely be let go if I divulged all my secrets instead of rewarded for a job well done.
