The Puppy Life and School Happenings

It has been a cute filled past few days taking care of Miss Lorna. I have loved coming home to the excited greetings filled with kisses and cuddles and ending my nights with the same thing. I can't wait to get a puppy of my own one day. I told the boy I would prefer a Lorna then a ring when the time comes :)

There has been a lot of walks, exploring, and grooming! Here is miss Lorna on her special grooming table. She was not very pleased that I made her stay still for longer then 10 minutes. She is always running around and anxious to play.

Her dad takes caring for her very seriously. She is even on a special diet with special treats. I don't think I would take the restrictions as far as he has with caring for her, but I do like the fact that I have learned about different supplements and vitamins that help keep the little pups healthy and happy.

The other night I had to work from 3pm to 11pm so the boyfriend was watching her for the night. The above is a video of the two of them playing together. After I watched it I couldn't stop smiling! I wanted to get out of work and go play too! He has been really great with her. I think she loves him more then me at this point! It is good to know that when we do get a dog of our own he will be just as much involved and in love as I will be.

On another note, I started my Human Resources Managment class last night at Harvard. It was nice to be able to explore Harvard square a little bit before class with the boyfriend. He had class until 5 and met me down there. There are so many good stores in that area. Gap, Ann Taylor, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel......I am for sure going to get myself in trouble with the two hours I have between work and when class starts.

The class itself seemed good. The professors both seemed really nice and work in the area of Human Resources during the day. I feel confident they will bring some great life experience into the class.

I always sike myself out in class. I over think the answers to the questions and get nervous that I am wrong. Due to that, I tend to not speak up in class and then kick myself when someone else says the answer I was thinking. I am going to try to work hard to overcome this in the next 15 weeks. I never used to be that way. In grammar school and middle school I would just jump all over it. I used to be called a teacher pet constantly. Maybe that is why I am afraid to speak up now. Who knows!

The Healthy way of life has kind of fallen to the side since staying in town and not at our own apartment. I have been walking a lot more due to Lorna and the fact that I can walk to work and do not have my car with me. There has been a lot of eating out though. I did bring my breakfast staples with me and I have had a smoothie or oatmeal for breakfast on most morning, which I think is good. There was the one expection when we had breakfast out with my dad on Sunday morning before going to the car show down the street. I figure since we walked to the breakfast joint and then a mile to the car show it all evens out! Today is a new day and the sort of beginning of a new week. It is never too late to start making smart decisions! Goal for tomorrow is to get in a run! Let's see how that goes.....
