First 5k.....After Only Running Three Times.....Excuse me?

Check out that cool little guy, huh?!?! Well, that little man right there, he represents the first 5k me and the boyfriend will be running....wait for it...in 3 days! So, to say the least, I am a little worried about this. I am also excited to be pushing myself to just go for it, but I have only run outside twice so far. The 4th time I will run outside will be in an organized race. Pretty sure I am biting off more then I can chew. Why did I sign up for this you ask? This guy right here....

Awww, look at the love he has for the boyfriend! He is the race director and also the boyfriends boss/owner of the company. He convinced us on a company outing to sign up for it. One too many of the fabulous Sangria's at Legal Harborside and I was all about it.

                                                                       Peaches :)

It is a 5k in Marshfield that involves a lot of hills. I picked a great one right? It couldn't be a flat surface for a nice run and my first time? Nope! Not how it works in Sully's world. I will let you all know how it goes. As scared as I am, I think it will be a great way to start off a new me with a new month and a new season about to start. Fall will be all about transitions.

The healthy eating transisiton took a turn for the worst last night. While I did well during the day with my homemade oatmeal mess, a smoothie, a protein bar, and sweet potatoe chips; Out with the Peach crew and my BFF and BF things fell to the way side. I ended up drinking beer, wine, sangria, and champagne. I then decided it was a good idea to eat pizza, tator tots, and a steak slider. While it was all appetizer size and portion spilt between 3 people, I still felt a little guilty.

Today is a new day though! One step at a time. You can't change overnight. A nice thing that has happened today is that it is 11:15am and I have yet to smoke a cigarette. I usually have smoked two already by now. I am half trying to quit, half seeing where it goes. My body/lungs have been pretty upset with me lately. Step by step, day by day....
